Tina Torres was born in San Francisco, CA. At an early age Tina began to show an interest in the arts. She began singing and taking dance lessons at the age of 4. Her voice developed at an early age and her family began to notice her talent. She recorded her rst song at 13 years old and traveled with her family speaking, and singing at churches, schools and seminars all over the world. In her teen years she was also a competitive gure skater and had hope to become an olympic medalist.
Destiny took over and Tina’s path lead her to continue singing and dancing. In February 2009, Tina and her sister Karla were given the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the US Airways center for a sold out Suns game. Around the same time she began competing in ballroom dancing which lead her to discover the world of “On 2 New York style salsa” or “Mambo”. She went on to compete with Stilo Dance Co. in San Diego at the 2010 World Latin Dance Cup placing 2nd in the pro team category.
Tina moved to New York City January 2011 to pursue her career as an artist, and to further study Mambo. She immersed herself in the Latin Music scene not only dancing but also singing with Latin bands throughout various venues in New York City. When Tina is not performing she donates her time to work with underprivileged and special needs children and raising awareness for mental health. Tina is excited to release her music to the world, and hopes to win the hearts of people with her fun, rhythmic music and soulful voice, but most importantly with her message of “love and truth”.
